Trust administrator position at the Daphne Jackson Trust
We are recruiting a new Trust Administrator to join our small and dedicated team. The closing date for applications is Friday 3rd October, and interviews will be held during week beginning 6th October.

Applications are invited for the post of Trust Administrator with the Daphne Jackson Trust. Based at the University of Surrey, the Trust offers fellowships for returners to science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) after a career break of two years or more.
The Trust Administrator will play a key role in the overall administration of the fellowships and will work directly with, and support, the Chief Executive in all aspects of the work of the Trust.
The Trust Administrator will work with the Trust Manager and Fellowship Advisors to ensure the efficient management of the fellowships. The Fellowship Advisors are the main point of contact for Daphne Jackson fellowship candidates, applicants and fellows, providing advice, support and guidance.
The Trust is comprised of a small, very dedicated team of staff and applicants for this post must be friendly and approachable, efficient and methodical with an ability to work on their own initiative. This is a demanding post that will suit someone with excellent interpersonal skills, a high degree of commitment and the ability to multi-task and work under pressure. The ability to organise and prioritise a busy workload and to be able to work independently as well as being an effective member of a small team is essential.
Applicants must be computer literate with a fully operational knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook. Knowledge of Microsoft Access would be a great advantage. Applicants should ideally have a STEM background and knowledge of higher education or the charity sector. A knowledge of some of the stakeholders with whom the Trust works, such as the Research Councils, Learned Societies or the scientific community in general would be an advantage.
The role of Trust Administrator is based in the Daphne Jackson Trust Office in the Physics Department at the University of Surrey. Salary offered is £20k.
