Here at the Daphne Jackson Trust, we and our fellows strive to change the research landscape, promoting the importance of returners, Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion, and women in STEM. We have been honoured to be nominated, shortlisted, and granted a number of awards in recognition of our work.

2024
The Daphne Jackson Trust was shortlisted for the Charity Times Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Award in recognition of our work in bringing marginalised groups back into research and our advocacy for career returners.
2023
The Royal Society’s Research Culture Award, marking our outstanding contribution to the culture of science and research. This highly prestigious award recognised our efforts in championing equality, diversity and inclusion within the research community.
2022
Dr Katie Perry, our Chief Executive, was awarded an Honorary Degree by the University of Surrey, in recognition of her tireless efforts in establishing the Daphne Jackson Trust as the UK’s leading organisation dedicated to realising the potential of returners to research careers.
Previous awards for the Trust, staff and fellows have included the Women’s Engineering Society (WES) Top 50 Women in Engineering: Sustainability, the Timewise Power Part Timer list, the Women in Science & Engineering (WISE) Leadership Award and Red Magazine’s Hot Women Award for Power Part-Timers.
