Daphne Jackson Trust wins WISE Leadership Award!
We are delighted to announce that the Daphne Jackson Trust has won the WISE Leadership Award 2014 for an organisation that has made a difference to the participation of girls and/or women in STEM to improve diversity and inclusion within their sector.
The Daphne Jackson Trust team is extremely grateful to WISE and the awards judging panel who recognised the significant impact the Trust is having in supporting those wishing to return to research after a career break.
Nine out of ten Daphne Jackson Fellows are women who have taken a break to raise young children and to date the Trust has helped more than 250 women return to research.
Katie Perry, Chief Executive, received the prestigious award from HRH Princess Anne at an awards dinner in central London on 13th November.
On receiving the award Katie said ‘ We are one of only a few organisations that support returners, and the fellows we support are inspirational. I am delighted to receive this award, and would like to thank everyone who contributes to our work, including our dedicated staff team, Trustees and committee members, and the many organisations that sponsor and host Daphne Jackson Fellows.’
