Leave a legacy

Your legacy will help more people return to their careers in research.

Over the last thirty years, we have helped over 500 people return to their careers in research after a break. But we know there is much more to do. With your help, we can build a future where career breaks are not a barrier to returning to research.

By leaving a gift in your Will, you can support Daphne Jackson Fellows of the future. Your gift doesn’t stop there: Daphne Jackson Fellowships are a springboard; many of our Fellows go on to lead hugely successful careers, none of which would be possible without your help.

There are different ways to giving to a charity in your Will, and we would encourage you to speak to a solicitor or financial advisor when deciding what you might do. You could choose to leave a fixed amount of money or a percentage of your estate (the money and property you own when all other payments, gifts or deductions have been made).

If you have decided to leave a gift to us, we would love to hear from you so that we can thank you properly. Please email our Chief Executive, Dr Katie Perry at katie.perry@surrey.ac.uk.

You can leave a gift to a particular area of work or activity, but the most valuable gifts are not restricted. This is because we don’t know where our Fellowships will be needed in the future. Leaving an unrestricted gift allows us to use it in the best possible way. If you would prefer to discuss this, please email our Chief Executive, Dr Katie Perry at katie.perry@surrey.ac.uk.

Please email our Chief Executive, Dr Katie Perry at katie.perry@surrey.ac.uk or call 01483 689166 if someone has left a gift in their Will to the Daphne Jackson Trust. We would be grateful if you could include:

  • The full name of the deceased
  • Their last address
  • The date of death
  • Executor’s name and contact details
  • A copy of the Will
  • Any reason this gift was made

Please note that our name may also appear as the Daphne Jackson Memorial Fellowship Trust. If the Will features this name, we can still receive it, but please ensure any payment methods use our current name: The Daphne Jackson Trust.
