Returning to her research after a 9-year break, Yudan’s Fellowship is entitled: “The Molecular Mechanisms of Congenital Rubella Syndrome during Initial Embryogenesis”. Congenital Rubella Syndrome occurs when a pregnant mother contracts rubella (German measles) and passes it to the foetus. This can lead to a range of serious birth defects and health issues for the baby.
