Dr Yudan Ren

Dr Yudan Ren

Yudan Ren is a Daphne Jackson Fellow at the University of Cambridge in the Department of Physiology, Development and Neuroscience.

Yudan is a virologist with experience in drug development, viruses, antibodies and stem cells. After undergraduate study at the East China Normal University, Shanghai, she completed a PhD at Cambridge and then worked at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology (LMB), Cambridge. She undertook extensive laboratory based research, collaborated with colleagues on two patents and published eleven articles.

Yudan is now returning to research after a nine year career break.

Her Fellowship is sponsored by the Royal Society and her research project is entitled: The Molecular Mechanisms of Congenital Rubella Syndrome during Initial Embryogenesis
