Dr Ping Sai Lung

Dr Ping Sai Lung

Ping Sai Lung is a Daphne Jackson Fellow at the University of Glasgow in the School of Infection & Immunity.

Ping completed a BSc in Biochemistry and Chemistry at the University of Hong Kong, after which he worked in industry as a research technician developing diagnostic kits for SARS/Covid testing. Promoted to project manager he assisted with the transfer of knowledge to the production plants as well as completing a part time MSc in Material Science. He then became an operation manager at an adhesive materials plant after which he did his PhD in Nanoparticle development for vaccine applications at the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Now returning to research after a break of five years Ping is exploring a new way to improve vaccine effectiveness.

His Fellowship is sponsored by the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC) and his project is titled: Nanoparticle development for vaccine applications
