Dr Natasha Sharma
Natasha Sharma is a Daphne Jackson Fellow at University College London and the Francis Crick Institute in the Cancer Research UK Lung Cancer Centre of Excellence.
After completing a BSc in Pharmacy at the University of Delhi, Natasha applied for an international PhD scholarship scheme and was awarded a fully funded PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Southern California.
Natasha secured her first postdoctoral position at the University of California, San Diego whilst she was writing up her PhD, where she identified pathways for drug targets in the tumour microenvironment from patient biopsies.
Returning to research after a seven year career break, Natasha’s project is entitled: : Investigating the molecular response of cancer cells to extrachromosomal DNA formation using next generation sequencing
Natasha’s Fellowship is sponsored by the Royal Society and the Medical Research Council (MRC).
