Dr Kirsty Roberts
Kirsty is a Daphne Jackson Fellow at Liverpool John Moores University in the Research Institute for Sport and Exercise Sciences.
Whilst completing her degree in Sports Therapy at the University of Staffordshire, Kirsty became fascinated by cardiovascular science and after working as a sports therapist for a year she embarked on a PhD in Cardiovascular Health Sciences at Liverpool John Moores University investigating the effects of dietary flavonoids in tea on cardiovascular health.
Returning to research after a 3 year career break and due to finish in 2024, Kirsty’s project is entitled: The Menopausal Hot Flush: Cutaneous Vascular and Sudomotor Function and Structure in Symptomatic Women
Her Fellowship is sponsored by the British Heart Foundation.
