Dr Gillian Halket
Gillian Halket is a Daphne Jackson Fellow at the University of Strathclyde in the Institute of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences.
Gillian is returning to molecular microbiology after a career break of five years. Prior to this, Gillian obtained an industrially sponsored PhD and then worked for 15 years in industrial research.
Her Fellowship is sponsored by the University of Strathclyde and the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC).
Gillian’s research project is titled: Genomic Mining of Thermophilic Actinobacteria for Novel Antibiotics and she is due to complete her Fellowship in 2019.
