Dr Beverley Burke
Beverley Burke is a Daphne Jackson Fellow at Birkbeck, University of London in the Department of Psychology.
Beverley is a molecular biologist with research experience covering diverse subjects such as microbiology, cancer, cardiology, immunology & neurodegeneration. Beverley began her research career with a BSc in Biology at the University of Manchester and after working as a research assistant at Imperial College London and Queen Mary University London undertook her PhD part time whilst continuing to work as a research assistant, at St Georges Hospital, London.
Beverley is now returning to research after a six year career break.
Her Fellowship is sponsored by Birkbeck, University of London and the Medical Research Council (MRC) and her research project is entitled: Pattern-Related Visual Allodynia – an inability to visualise specific, geometric patterns of high contrast without distortion and pain
