Dr Ban Adil Naji Al-Jassani

Ban Adil Naji Al-Jassani is a Daphne Jackson Fellow at the University of Leeds in the School of Mechanical Engineering.

Ban is a senior programmer with expertise in the development and implementation of algorithms including Human-Computer Interactions and the optimisation of digital circuits. Ban did her BSc at the University of Baghdad, Iraq and immediately went to work in industry as a Software Engineer working for the General Systems Company in Iraq. After completing an MSc at the University of Technology, Iraq in Computer Engineering Ban received a scholarship to do a PhD at Edinburgh Napier University studying the optimisation of digital circuits.

Now returning to research after an eight year career break Ban’s project is titled: Extensions to the Growth Method for the Design of Space-Frame Structures

Due to finish in 2025, this 3 year Fellowship is sponsored by the Royal Society and the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC).
