Dr. Richard Matthews, Lecturer in physical and computational chemistry at the University of East London
“My fellowship meant I could work flexibly. I could continue to juggle the needs of my children whilst retraining in a leading academic environment and working in an area I feel really passionate about.”
Richard undertook his Daphne Jackson Fellowship from 2019 to 2022. His research on the development and application of computational modelling to investigate protein structure and stability was funded by the Royal Academy of Engineering and the Royal Society of Chemistry and hosted by Imperial College London.
