Dr Lynsey Cullen, Wellcome Trust Early Career Fellow in History of Medicine at the University of Warwick 

“I’m back and chasing these goals, but with a better perspective this time around.  I’ve learned to just be audacious.  What have you got to lose?” 

Lynsey undertook her Daphne Jackson Fellowship at the University of York between 2022 and 2024.  Funded by the AHRC and ESRC, Lynsey used her experience as a scriptwriter and retraining in new virtual reality tools to enhance her research into historic scandals surrounding the use of medical data.   

Following the fellowship, she received a Wellcome Trust Early Career Fellow in History of Medicine at the University of Warwick.
