Dr Sobia Ashraf

Sobia Ashraf is a Daphne Jackson Fellow at University College London in the Department of Chemistry.

As an inorganic chemist with a degree, MSC and PhD in Chemistry from University College London, Sobia has held post doctoral positions at the University of Oxford and the University of Liverpool and has many publications.

Returning to research after her ten year career break, Sobia proposes to develop a device for splitting water into Hydrogen and Oxygen for clean energy production.

Her Fellowship, due to finish in 2023 is sponsored by the Royal Society of Chemistry and the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC).

Her research project is entitled: Atomic Layer Deposition of Single Platinum Atom Catalysts for Photoelectrochemical Water Splitting
