Dr Sarah Sun
Sarah Sun is a Daphne Jackson Fellow at the National Physical Laboratory. She is a researcher in the field of microscopy, the science of using microscopes to view objects that cannot be seen with naked eye.
Sarah completed her PhD in advanced manufacturing at Brunel University London, and continued to work there as a research fellow, on the design and use of smart cutting tools. Sarah is returning to research after a six year career break.
Her Fellowship is sponsored by the National Physical Laboratory (NPL), the national measurement standards laboratory for the UK.
Sarah’s research project is titled: The development and evaluation of a library of novel software routines for adaptive scanning of scanning probe microscopes used for metrology and her Fellowship is due to finish in 2020.
