Dr Richard Greaves
Richard Greaves is a Daphne Jackson Fellow at the University of York, working with both the Hull York Medical School and the Department of Computer Science.
With a PhD from the University of York in computional chemistry, Richard has held various post doctoral positions at the University of York and the University of Manchester. He undertook an MSc in computer modelling of immunological networks, which has led to a fresh perspective on the application of computational methods in the study of bio-medical systems.
The University of York and the Medical Research Council (MRC) are sponsoring Richard’s Fellowship.
Due to be completed in 2022, his project is entitled: Agent-based simulation of the thymic B cell – thymic stroma cross-talk that promotes type 1 diabetes
