Dr Nazia Nazar
Dr Nazia Nazar is a Daphne Jackson Fellow at De Montford University Leicester in the Faculty of Health & Life Sciences.
Nazia’s background is in plant research, specifically medicinal plants. During her PhD, she was awarded an International Research Support Fellowship and spent time at the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew. On completion of her PhD, Nazia worked as an Assistant Professor at the PMAS-Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi Pakistan, where she taught and continued her research.
Her Fellowship is sponsored by the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC).
Returning to research after a six year career break her project is titled: Genetic and molecular analysis of essential oils production in Lamiaceae glandular trichomes
