Dr Marwa Elhariry
Marwa Elhariry is a Daphne Jackson Fellow at the University of Central Lancashire in the School of Forensic and Applied Sciences.
Marwa graduated with a degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Cairo University and went on to complete her PhD in Phytochemistry from the same institution, whilst working part-time as an analyst for the National Organization for Drug Control and Research (NODCAR) in Cairo.
Her Fellowship is sponsored by the University of Central Lancashire and and the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC).
Returning to the lab after a career break of three years Marwa’s research project is entitled: Use of brain penetration and in silico docking of tau aggregation inhibitors as a tool for discovery of new therapeutics against Alzheimer’s disease, which she is due to complete in 2022.
