Dr Maria Hernandez-Soriano

Maria Hernandez-Soriano is a Daphne Jackson Fellow at the John Innes Centre (JIC) in the Department of Metabolic Biology.

Maria has a background in environmental science and completed her PhD at KU Leuvenin in Belgium. Having held post-doctoral positions in Belgium, the USA and Australia, Maria is returning to research after a three year break.

Her two year Fellowship is sponsored by the John Innes Centre (JIC) and the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC).

Maria’s research project is titled: Improving nitrogen use efficiency by increasing crop control of nitrification and her Fellowship is due to finish in 2021.
