Mairi Haddow is a Daphne Jackson Fellow in the Institute of Chemical Science, School of Engineering and Physical Sciences at Heriot-Watt University.

Mairi started her career with an MChem from the University of Edinburgh in 2003. She gained a first-class degree and worked for a year in industry for a company based in Germany. Later she gained five years research experience as a manager of an X-ray crystallography lab. Mairi is returning to the physical chemistry research field with a project looking at disorder within porous molecular materials. Her career break lasted for five years.

Mairi’s Fellowship is sponsored by the Royal Society of Chemistry and the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC).

Her research project is titled: Modelling Disorder in Microporous Molecular Materials and she is due to complete her Fellowship in 2020.
