Dr Kim Haworth

Kim Haworth is a Daphne Jackson Fellow in the Department of Cardiovascular Sciences, at the University of Leicester.

With a background and training in biological sciences, Kim is returning from a two-year career break to study medical sciences, specifically cardiovascular disease. Kim started her career with a BSc in genetics from Manchester University and has worked as a postdoctoral scientist at different institutions including the Universities of Oxford, London and Cardiff.

Kim’s Fellowship is sponsored by the Department of Cardiovascular Sciences, University of Leicester, and funded by the Van Geest Foundation Cardiovascular Fund.

Her research project is titled: Mechanism by which cardiovascular disease-associated genetic variants convey disease predisposition and she is due to finish her Fellowship in 2020
