Dr Irina Abnizova

Irina Abnizova is a Daphne Jackson Fellow in the Epigenetics Department at the Babraham Institute.

Irina obtained degrees from Novosibirsk State University in Russia and has an interest and postdoctoral experience in statistical methods for gene regulation. After an eight year career break, Irina is returning to research to investigate the ways the underlying DNA sequences influence epigenetic and gene expression regulation during aging.

Irina’s Fellowship is sponsored by the Babraham Institute and the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC).

Her research project is titled: Sequence determinant of epigenomic heterogeneity and gene expression variability and she is due to finish her Fellowship in 2020.
