Dr Bill Deakin
Bill Deakin is a Daphne Jackson Fellow in the Department of Biology at the University of York.
With a PhD from Durham University, Bill is a molecular microbiologist looking at bacteria that interacts with plants. He held a post-doctoral research position in Geneva before a ten year career break.
His two year Fellowship is sponsored by the University of York and the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC).
Bill’s research project is titled: Development of Multi-Functional Bacterial Bio-Fertilizer and he is due to finish his Fellowship in 2023.
