Dr Asme Boussahel
Asme Boussahel is a Daphne Jackson Fellow at the University of Bristol in the The School of Cellular and Molecular Medicine.
Originally from Algeria, with an MPharm and PhD in Pharmacy from the University of Nottingham, Asme is a researcher in drug delivery and tissue engineering. Working as a postdoctoral research associate at the University of Portsmouth she researched nanoparticle-assisted delivery of drugs across the blood-brain barrier.
Returning to research after a five year break, her Fellowship is sponsored by Animal Free Research UK.
Her project is titled: A Perfused Microfluidic In-Vitro Model of the Human Subcutaneous Tissue for Bioavailability Assessment and is due to finish in 2024.
