Dr Antonia Vyrkou
Antonia Vyrkou is a Daphne Jackson Fellow in the School of Applied Sciences at the University of Huddersfield.
Antonia graduated with a MEng in Chemical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens in Greece and obtained a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the same institution in 2012. Antonia is returning to the lab from a career break of four years to the biomolecular computational modelling field of research.
Her Fellowship is sponsored by the University of Huddersfield and the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC).
Antonia’s research project is titled: Molecular Simulation Studies of Human Lactate Dehydrogenase A and its inhibitors for the design of anticancer drugs and she is due to complete her project in 2021.
