Dr Aleksandra Zawalna-Geer

Aleksandra Zawalna-Geer is a Daphne Jackson Fellow in the Camborne School of Mines at the University of Exeter.

Aleksandra is returning to environmental science and volcanology after a career break of five years. She has previous experience in geochemistry, volcanology, natural hazards assessment, basin modelling and geophysics, having completed her PhD in Volcanology at the University of Auckland, New Zealand in March 2013.

Aleksandra’s Fellowship is sponsored by the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC).

Her research project is titled: Differentiating volcanic monitoring signals for improved eruption forecasting and she is due to complete her Fellowship in 2019.
